Jim Miller Construction was founded in May of 1976 by James L. Miller, Jr. (Jim) and his wife, Sallie. Working in the industry from a young age, Jim acquired extensive skills in a variety of construction trades and quickly obtained his Class A contractor’s license.
Over forty years later, the business remains family-owned and operated by Jim and Sallie. The Miller family also owns and operates Miller’s Services – formerly Miller’s Septic Service – specializing in septic, plumbing, drain cleaning, HVAC, and electrical services, which was started by Jim’s father nearly 50 years ago. Jim’s experience as a Class A Contractor and a Licensed Master Plumber, who also serves on the Board of Building, Code & Appeals in Gloucester, VA gives him a unique set of skills and knowledge that allow him to provide the most comprehensive building experience to clients all over mid-peninsula Virginia, where he is well known for his creativity in design and functional use of space.
